How To Measure For A Custom Made lounge base Cushion

No skill is required to measure up for T shape cushion.

  1. Measurement A:  Measure the width of the cushion at the widest front at the front. Example: if it is 1150mm enter 115.
  2. Measurement B: Measure the depth of the cushion at the deepest point.
  3. Measurement C: Input the desired thickness of the cushion.
  4. Measurement D:  Measure the width of the cushion at the back from the widest point.
  5. Measurement E:  Measure the depth of the section protruding out on the left and right hand side.

Pro Tip: 10cm  – 12cm is the most popular thickness, However 7cm works with many lounges.

T shape cushions are popular for bench areas where sections of the wall protrude into the seating area and outdoor lounge chairs featuring armrest that don’t extend to the very front edge of the seat. Until recently replacing a T shape cushions could only be done by contacting a local upholsterer and having them remake the cushion as great expensive. Now you can simply measure your chair without the cushion in place and we’ll  remake a high quality cushion for you.  Our cushions features  high density quick drying foam and  Olefin Fabric, This means they don’t fade, go flat or retain moisture like regular cushions.

  • STEP 2: CHOOSE YOUR PIPING

    What is piping: Piping on a cushion is the thin fabric tubing that goes around the edges of the cushions. Piping is somewhat like a fine/small pipe that is around all the joins/ edges. It can provide a premium look and can be made in difference colours to provide a contrast. If that seems daunting you may like to know that most cushions use the same fabric on the piping as they do for the cushion.

  • STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR FILLS

    Please select your filling.

    This is a no brainer, we don’t charge extra for quick drying foam so we’d suggest you pick it. Regular foam
    tends to go mouldy if it gets wet and isn’t in the sunlight. Quick drying foam is open cell foam allows the water
    to pass through quickly.

    Furniture Foam: High density comfortable furniture foam for alfresco or indoor cushions.
    Quick Dry Foam: Quick dry outdoor foam for an all-weather cushion.

  • STEP 4: CHOOSE YOUR TIES

    Please select whether you would like ties or not.

    Although most lounges do not have ties on the base cushion they will prevent your cushions from sliding around. If you select ties then the lounge will have 2 tie points at the back of the cushion.

  • STEP 5: MEASUREMENT

    Pro Tip: To prevent your  lounge from moving around ties.  If selected 2 ties  30cm long will be sewn into the back corners
